My name is Luke Williford, and I am an independent designer and developer. I am currently focused on developing level and world generation tools in Houdini for easy integration in Unreal. Utilizing my own custom mountain generation tools and satellite imaging techniques, I am intent on creating tools that speed level design and create efficient workflows. I am enrolled in CG Spectrum, a school dedicated to training students for practical experience in the professional game design workforce. I pride myself on my technical skillset and strong communicative soft skills, which coalesce to build a strong foundation for a game design professional. I graduated from Whitman College with a degree in Economics and a background in history. I have been a Certified Personal Trainer, an investment analyst, and a corporate finance analyst for the market leader in cybersecurity. Yet, I am a designer. I am fluent in Houdini, Unity Engine and C#, experienced in Unreal and Blueprints. In February of 2021, I released Teenie Townie, a condensed city builder made in three days for Majora's Game Jam. Throughout the end of 2020, I worked on The Travels with a team of eight others. I was the lead game designer and lead engineer for the project. I never stop learning, creating, and dreaming, but most importantly, I constantly push myself to work harder. Ideas are the easy part of the industry, so execution is everything. Thus, I strive to be the hardest worker I can be every day. The concepts critical to an effective game designer, a multi-faceted drive to keep learning new things, clear communication, and an unfaltering work ethic, make me a great fit in the industry. I aim to work for a thoughtful, goal oriented studio once I finish my time at CG. Please see my contact info below to connect! |
